Kimberly Culp- Associate Experience: Kimberly began her law career at Fenwick & West, a
national law firm representing technology and life
sciences clients. Kimberly practiced in Fenwick’s
general litigation and employment litigation groups.
There she represented clients in high stakes cases
involving trademark, copyright, false advertising,
unfair competition, trade dress, trade secret, and labor
and employment issues. She was a member of
numerous trial teams and was the only associate on a
false advertising bench trial in the District of Oregon.
She was also the lead associate on two separate wage and
hour class actions, both of which settled favorably.
Other notable engagements at Fenwick & West include
representation of a copyright client in the Ninth
Circuit, rapid and favorable settlement of a trade dress
action, and special counsel on false advertising issues
for a trial team from another law firm. In 2009, Kimberly left Fenwick to join the Law
Offices of Sanford M. Cipinko, a California Super Lawyer
since 2005, where she gained invaluable litigation
experience representing her clients in court, at
mediation, at arbitration, and before administrative
agencies. She negotiated numerous six figure
settlements on behalf of her clients. She was also
second chair in an arbitration where her client received
a six figure award. Kimberly also briefed and
argued her client’s case in the California Court of
Appeal, winning affirmation of the trial court’s
judgment for her client. Kimberly’s practice at Colt Wallerstein focuses on
high stakes employment and intellectual property
litigation. Kimberly also regularly represents
clients in breach of contract disputes.
Kimberly regularly donates her legal services to the
community. While at Fenwick & West she represented
a civil rights plaintiff in an appeal before the Ninth
Circuit. With co-counsel Kimberly briefed the
appeal and Kimberly argued her client’s case before a
panel at the Ninth Circuit. The Ninth Circuit
found for her client and granted the appeal. Other
notable pro bono work includes representation of
an elderly disabled gentleman wrongfully denied his
unemployment rights after termination of his employment.
Kimberly represented her client at the Unemployment
Insurance Appeal Board and won a reversal of the denial
of her client’s unemployment insurance. Kimberly
